What is the difference between H14 HEPA and U15 ULPA filters?
H14 HEPA and U15 ULPA filters are classified under European Standard EN 1822 based on their efficiency at the Most Penetrating Particle Size (MPPS):
- H14 HEPA Filters: Provide ≥99.995% overall efficiency (and ≥99.97% local efficiency) at MPPS. They are widely used in cleanrooms, pharmaceutical suites, and hospital operating theatres.
- U15 ULPA Filters: Provide ≥99.9995% overall efficiency (and ≥99.997% local efficiency) at MPPS. They are specified for ultra-clean semiconductor fabrication and sterile bio-containment zones.

- Fan Filter Units (FFUs): Self-contained motorized blower units equipped with H14 HEPA or U15 ULPA filters. They deliver uniform laminar airflow (typically 0.45 m/s ±20%) from the ceiling grid to meet ISO Class 3 through Class 8 standards.
- Pass Boxes (Dynamic vs Static): Dynamic pass boxes utilize internal HEPA recirculating air showers and mechanical/electronic interlocked doors to sanitize tools and materials passed between dirty and clean areas without cross-contamination.

What are the UK delivery timeframes and receiving inspection procedures?
Standard catalog items stocked at our Feltham logistics hub are dispatched via pallet freight within 24 to 48 hours across UK Mainland.
Inspection Requirement: Due to the delicate nature of micro-glass filter media, all crates must be inspected upon delivery. Any transit packaging damage must be noted on the carrier POD and reported to Filtravo UK within 48 hours.
What compliance documentation is provided with Filtravo UK products?
Every shipment is accompanied by comprehensive compliance paperwork required for cleanroom validation and facility audits:
- Individual Scan Test Certificates (EN 1822 / ISO 29463): Listing serial number, initial pressure drop (Pa), air volume flow, and measured MPPS efficiency.
- CE / UKCA Declaration of Conformity: For motorized units including FFUs, Air Showers, and Pass Boxes.
